- Day One: Overview of class objectives & timeline in clay & glasswork. Explore design ideas & outcomes with examples. Create clay molds (6x6).
- Day Two: Discuss fired molds & slumped glass. Discuss glass design. Create 4 pieces (6x6); replace molds if needed.
- Day Three: Discuss fused & slumped pieces. Painting on glass, frit, & glass sheet techniques. Create glass pieces or molds.
- Day Four: Review & troubleshoot molds, glass designs, & firing schedules. Create final pieces.
Introduction to Fused Glass

Join Stephanie for an exciting 4-week class that covers the fundamentals of glass fusing.
You will learn how to cut glass, designing for slumping, and how to write kiln schedules.
In addition, you will experiment with reactive glass, painting and stringers. At the end of 4 weeks, you will complete 4 projects including small dishes, large bowl, ornaments, and coasters. No prior experience is required. Ages 8 and up.
Empty Bowls is a global initiative where artists and fight hunger. Local potters donate hand-crafted bowls, filled with donated food from local restaurants.
The Storehouse New Mexico is honored to be the beneficiary in 2024. All donations go directly to the Storehouse to provide free groceries to New Mexicans in need, from infants to seniors.
